Plan of Action

We take a £300 on a ebay shonker, a shed load of cojonas and drive some battered wrecks from the UK to Germany over 5 days, taking in a few of the 'sights' along the way.

DAY ONE

The Teams meet in Dover and get the ferry accross to Dunkerque to start the WWII theme. From there we drive to Leuven, in theory in a real car it will be no more than 3 hours to Leuven. In real terms buy the time your European Breakdown recovery vehicle reaches you it will be close to midnight.
For those that manage to make it to Belgium there is the choice of either going to the Interbrew Factory literally the home of 'Stella Artois' or hiting one of the local bars as don't forget in Belgium, most pubs have at least 50 beers to choose from. Ending the day as we will throughout the trip, in a cheap hotel or hostel knowing that we could have an early start and it is not wise to consume alcohol and then drive early the next morning.

DAY TWO

A leisurely drive to Nurburg, Germany. Once again no more than three hours driving to get from one to the other. Get the stuff unpacked and get settled into a cheap hotel and before heading to the Nurburg Ring. The track opens from 5pm and closes at 7pm so you can go round as many times as you can afford or you car will last. Keep in mind that you will be liable for any damage you do to the track!

DAY THREE

Dam Busting, in theory a drive Erfurt in Germany according to their website they are playing at home against 'SSV Jahn 2000 Regensberg' that weekend so it should be a classic! But in reality it doesn't matter where we head to. Just a little German town with a couple of pubs or Kneipe (get the practice in!) and a football team. During the day, time dependent a chance to see some of the Dams bombed during the war. But for a few of the football geeks a chance to watch some lower division German football, buy a random football shirt, have a quiet couple and settle down for a Saturday Night in Germany.

DAY FOUR

Probably the longest days driving so a trip broken up with a couple of games to help pass the miles. . I repeat there will be no racing over the five days we may however today simply have a time trial and the person who gets closest to the specified time will win. As also we may have a couple of other challanges en route. With today also being the last night this will be when any prizes/presentations will be.

DAY FIVE

Flog the crap. So for most of us the cars we have bought will not be our pride and joys and if they have made it this far, then some will want to drive them back home again. However for the rest of us this is when you may want to get rid of your car and reap the financial rewards of selling possible a British classic in germany. Or in real terms taking you car to a scrap merchant and hopefully getting enough car to buy your flight ticket home.
